SUMMER WINES
 
A classic selection of wines to enjoy this summer.
Aperitif with our favourite Crémant d'Alsace 'Vallée Noble' Brut, followed by our popular house wines, then red and white from Europe, South Africa and New Zealand.
 
Friday evening  6pm - 9pm
Saturday - from 12noon, until 5pm
 
£10.00 pp

        At all tastings there will be some local cheese to taste and biscuits.

Friday October 10th 2008 at 6pm - at Wine Workshop - Discovering Jura Wine - £12.50 per person - A great opportunity to taste some rare and unique wines from the smallest wine region in France

Thursday 27th November 2008 at 6pm - at Wine Workshop - Alsace Wine - £12.50 per person - An impressive tasting with Seppi Landmann from the Vallee Noble of Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Sylvaner.

Friday 12th December 2008 at 6pm - at Wine Workshop - Champagne - £18.00 per person - Festive season tasting – Some favourite champagnes to taste from a range of great small producers to top prestige

Friday February 20th 2009 at 6pm - at Wine WorkshopSpanish Wine Tasting- £12.50 per person - A great opportunity to taste some beautiful wines from around Spain: Costa Brava, La Mancha, Rioja, Priorat, Rueda, Ribeiro regions.

Friday March 20th 2009 at 6pm - at Wine WorkshopAustrian Wine - £17.50 per personIf you ski in Austria you may have tasted some impressive wines - Riesling, Grüner Veltliner…– They are exceptional, niche market wine highly regarded by worldwide connoisseur. This is a great opportunity to discover, taste and learn from the best Estate from Weingut in Wachau, Kamptal, and Südburgenland. Many of the wines are rare and made from tiny production.

Friday April 17th 2009 at 6pm - at Wine Workshop Chablis Wine Tasting - £15.00 per person From the Petit Chablis through to Chablis 1er to the Grand Crus, we will be tasting some of the best wines made and so much to learn about this most well-know appellation. Food and wine recommendations and some pointers on how to pick wine from the Restaurant List.

Friday May 15th 2009 at 6pm - at Wine WorkshopLoire Valley - £12.50 per person Spring time, Wine of the moment. We will be tasting some classic appellations and some beautiful wines which are in the shadows of big names and worth discovering. Sauvignon, Chenin, Romorantin, Cabernet Franc and many other grapes.

Friday 17th September 2009 at 6.30pm - FINE FINE FROM THE RHONE VALLEY - We will be tasting some classic Hermitage, Chateauneuf du Pape, St Joseph Condrieu and many others appellation from the north to south of the Rhone Valley white and red from small top growers - pp £18.00

Friday 16th October 2009 - SOUTH AFRICA - We will taste some of the best boutique wines from the Swartland, Robertson, Franschhoek, to Hermanus, a Great opportunity to understand more about the SA wines and the country - pp £18.00 - starting at 6.30pm


20th November 2009 - NEW WORLD/OLD WORLD - We will do a blind tasting comparing old/new world with some finest wines. Which will be the most impressive? Let us find out on this special tasting which will be full of surprises - pp £18.00 - starting at 6.30pm

FRIDAY 12TH MARCH 2010 (please note : date changed from February)STARTING AT 6.30PM We will taste some exceptional wines from Costa Brava, Rioja, Rueda, Arribes del Duero, la Mancha, Jerez, whites and reds from small top Bodegas. There is a lot to talk about with regards the regions and grapes varieties and there will be a great opportunity to sample some wines that don’t come around often - £18.00 pp  

Thursday 22nd April 2010 - 
THE FRENCH CATALAN - A unique opportunity to try wine from the Roussillon region, we will taste some wine from the best growers, white and red appellations and some impressive Vin De Pays plus some very old sweet red wine from the '80s '60s '50s and 1928… - Limited numbers – £22.50 pp including cheese from the Roussillon .

Thursday 20th May 2010 - JURA WINES - Discovering the wines from the smallest wine region in France and creator of the first cooperative in France . An impressive wine history, lots to talk about. We will taste some organic wine from Sparkling, Classic to indigenous grapes, some rare Pin de Paille and Vin Jaune. - Limited numbers – £18.00 pp including cheese from the Jura
